Marketing Strategery 3: Fan Disservice

I’ll just leave this here.

I appreciate the traffic. I do. So as an olive branch, I’m attempting to sate whatever it is that may have piqued your interest in the first place. But first! To extend the quid pro quo: please take a little time and thumb through the previous few. See if you like what we have to offer. It may not scratch your particular itch but maybe it spreads a measure of salve?

Speaking of traffic: it’s interesting. I enjoy watching where, when, how, and why people do the things they do to my website. Like I said, it’s interesting. The most interesting aspect of it is that it is completely anonymous. Well, not completely. I can draw on some context clues and make an educated guess but by-and-large, I’m in the dark.

Some of the things you people do make me want to scream though the monitor, “No! Wait! What?!” So as I mentioned: it’s interesting.

A lot of this is my fault. We launched but this thing isn’t completely pieced together. It’s more a patch work of duct tape and timber than it is an actual, functioning vessel. Still, we’re at a stage where this makeshift raft will float us down the creek without much difficulty. The water is still only waist deep.

It’s a slippery slope that I don’t intend to navigate in order to reach its extremities. I don’t anticipate pandering (or PANDA-ing) to the masses in order to amass traffic. It’s not something I’m into.

Still, it was fun to explore what little glimpse I had of la vida furry because it’s not something I altogether understand. I don’t see the appeal but I do understand that there is something there.

If someone would care to explain, I’m more than happy to listen. I enjoy learning any-and-everything I can about every-and-anything but I do have to ask that it please be mano-a-mano as I’m quite allergic.
